I wanted to share this film for a number of reasons, the themes and topics around men's mental health are close to home for me and are often things I haven't been brave enough to talk about myself.
It's been a difficult film to make and I am very thankful to the seven men that agreed to share their stories and put themselves out there for the benefit of others.
The statistics around men talking about their mental health and accessing support for mental health are pretty awful and hopefully, in some small way, projects like this will help others to come forward, to talk and to show it's OK not to be OK.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the making this film, especially Alison and Emi from
'Eye2Eye Counselling Service' who commissioned the film and Shaun Parfitt from
Let's Talk Men's Mental Health who supported us in many ways, from casting an expert eye over proceedings to finding us some fantastic people that were willing to open up and talk to us on camera. It wouldn't have been possible without him.
Please feel free to share this post with anyone and everyone, as talking about it is the first step.
Thanks.
Richard.
